Opening Remarks by Mr. Yao Junchen

Against the backdrop of global climate change and the challenges of sustainable development, green aviation has become an inevitable choice. The European Union’s “Clean Aviation” initiative aims to promote the transformation of the aviation industry towards a sustainable and climate-neutral future, targeting net-zero emissions by 2050. China has also pledged to reach peak carbon emissions by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060. The aviation sector is actively developing new technologies to improve efficiency, reduce carbon emissions, and promote the adoption of alternative energy sources such as sustainable aviation fuels. Representatives from Safran, COMAC, Shangda Superalloys Co.,Ltd., EHang, Taicang Industrial Investment Development Co., Ltd., and AVIC Shenyang Aircraft Commercial Company (SACC) delivered presentations on topics related to the development of green aviation. The presentation session was moderated by Mr. Ji Vincent, professor of Paris-Saclay University and Chief Representative of CSAA Europe Office.
